Watch a video on updating an animals group via custom import
Follow the step by step instructions to update animal groups
You'll need a spreadsheet of animal passports or relevant EIDs in one column and your corresponding required group name in a 2nd column - next save your spreadsheet as a .CSV file for uploading to your account.
1. Once logged into the web app via your computer, navigate to the left options panel, and select import data.
2. Next click the Custom import.
3. Click into import cattle.
4. Select upload file.
5. Select your CSV. file and click open.
6. Once your file has uploaded press next.
7. Select groups from the drop down box. Anything that is not relevant leave on IGNORE.
Note: Mandatory headings are marked with an asterisk (*).
IMPORTANT: If there are animals that are not in the system but in the document you upload, these animals will be added to your account.
8. Passport number is mandatory, so this must be selected for you to finish the upload.
9. Once you are happy, press finish upload.
10. If your upload was successful you will see this screen. You can find this group under the my cattle page, under the heading groups.
