To keep your account up to date, we advise you to download your herd list from APHIS and upload to Breedr when changes are made to your herd, such as births, deaths or movements on or off farm.

The herd file you download from APHIS should not be manipulated in any way or this will cause the upload to fail - the system is built to take the original herd list file as exported from APHIS.

See our video below on how to upload to your account

Downloading your herd list from Aphis

You can download your herd file by viewing your "My Herd Animal List" on the APHIS website and click "Download list".

See our step by step guide to upload your Aphis herd list

To upload to Breedr simply head to the web app and at the bottom of the left panel, you will find the import symbol.

Next, click on the Aphis logo and select Choose file...

Once you've selected your Herd file, simply select Import.

After a few moments, all animals will have imported onto your Breedr farm and you will be able to see your animals loaded from the Show import data button next to the green bar.

If any animals fail to import, there may be an issue with the file and some or all animals may have failed to upload. You can download un-imported animals to view the failed imports, alternatively you can contact Customer Support who are happy to help with your animal upload.
