Adding EIDs and VIDs on the Web Portal
If you're using the web app, you can quickly get all your animal VID and EID data added to your herd with our bulk upload tool.
Prepare your data
Recording Animal's Sex Classification - Bulls, Steers, Heifers, & Cows - Mobile App
If you upload your animals to Breedr as male, they will automatically be marked as bulls. If the animal has been castrated, you can update its sex classification in the app.
Assign castrations to multiple animals
Either add a tag in the chute and complete the activity as shown above, or add the activity to the animals after the chute session.
You can also record castrations as your animals go through the chute.
Step-by-Step
Go to the 'My Cattle' tab on the home screen.
Tap on the filter icon in the upper right-hand corner.
From this page, you can filter by 'Sex classification'.
Select 'Bulls' and then tap 'Done'.
Tap 'Show animals'.
This will show you only your bulls.
Tap on the yellow 'Manage' button.
Tap 'Manage'.
From this page, you can select all or tap on individuals to select them.
Tap on 'Log activity'.
Tap on 'Treatments' and then 'Castration,' and then choose to log for all (it will apply only to those you have selected) or log one by one.
Tap on 'Save,' and a confirmation screen should appear.
