Categorize your animals by ownership, destination, breed, or any metric you need to keep track of using our Group feature for customized, data-driven reports.
Note: Each animal can only belong to one Group at a time. Explore Tags for dynamic animal organization.
Groups can be found in both the web portal and mobile app on the 'My Cattle' page.
Step-by-Step
To create a Group
Mobile App and Web Portal
Click the yellow '+ Create' button on from the 'Groups' tab on the 'My Cattle' page.
You can either create a Herd of Animals or a Group of Animals. The key difference is that a Herd of Animals will require you to input individual IDs for each animal at a later date. We recommend creating a 'Herd of Animals' if you're adding a lot of animals at one time and ID them individually at a later date, and a 'Group of Animals' if you want to complete full onboarding of your animals.
From here, you'll be prompted to enter information about the Group.
To edit or delete a Group
Mobile App
Click on the group you want to change.
Click the three white dots next to the 'i' icon at the top right of the screen.
Click 'Edit group' at the bottom of the screen. To save changes, simply click 'Save'. To delete the group, click 'Delete group' under the 'Save' button.
Web Portal
Click on the group you want to change. From here, click 'Edit group' to the right above the animal list.
After making any changes, click 'Save updates' on the top right of the screen. To delete the group, click 'Delete group' on the top right of the screen.
