Genetic selection stands as the most effective method for enhancing herd health, fertility, and overall profitability. Opt for the Sire whose calves exhibit the best Daily Live Weight Gain (DLWG), and focus on choosing heifers born during the initial 6 weeks of the calving period who have shown excellent growth.

Having a greater number of calves born within the first 3 weeks will lead to a higher average weaning weight, ensuring that both cow and calf groups are synchronized at the same developmental stage, making herd management more streamlined.

Step-by-Step

  1. Upload any historical data you may have.

  2. Group breeding animals together and log when cows/heifers are in heat. (Click here to log a pregnancy check).

  3. Log the calf's weight using Chute Mode.

  4. Track your progress using the Breeding History Report.
