Management Tags

Tag your animals with management tags to assign them to single or multiple cohorts.

Our new Animal Management Tagging feature easily tracks animals across your farm - add a tag or multiple tags to a single animal or a group/ location of animals. Tags can also be easily applied or removed during a crush or scanning session.

How to create a management tag

Mobile steps:

  1. Select on the "tags" tab and then click on the yellow plus create button

  2. Give the tag a name and slide across the colour chart to choose a colour, next select create tag.

  3. A green banner will appear across your screen to confirm the tag has been created and the animals will appear a couple seconds later in the tag.

    Web steps:

    1. Select on the "tags" tab and then click on the yellow plus create button

    2.Give the tag a name and slide across the colour chart to choose a colour, next select create tag.


How add and remove a management tag

Add tag - Mobile steps:

  1. Select into the tag and click manage

  2. Select the option tag animals

  3. Select the animals you would like to tag, you can use the filter icon to filter down a cohort of animals.

  4. Select the animals by selecting on the grey boxes they will show a green tick to show the animal is selected. Next click on review selection

  5. Click "Submit"

  6. A confirmation screen will appear to show the animals have successfully been tagged.

    Add tag - Web steps:

    1.Click into the tag and click Add animals, if you have already have animals in the tag click on manage tag

    2. Select the animals you would like to tag, you can use the filter icon to filter down a cohort of animals. Next click "Add tag"

    3. From the drop down select the tag you would like to apply to the animals.

    4. You will see the tag has been applied in the tag column in the animal table.


Removing tag - Mobile steps:

  1. Click into the tag list which you would like to remove animals from

  2. Click on manage

    3. Click on manage

    4. Chose the option to "Tag animals"

    5. Chose the option to "Remove tag"

    6. It provides you with a list of all tags associated to the animal, click on the tag name which you would like to remove

    7. Confirm you would like to remove the tag

    8. A successful screen will appear confirming the removal of the tag.

    Removing tag- Web steps

    1. Select the animals you would like to remove a tag, use the filter option to filter for a cohort of animals, next select remove tag

    2. From the drop down select the tag you would like to remove.


How to apply a management tag in crush mode/ scan session

***Important!: When applying management tags, the tag MUST be created before starting the weigh or scan session ***

Weigh Mobile steps:

  1. Click on "Add management tag"

  2. This will provide you with a list of tags that you have already created. Select the tag name (Note: you can select multiple tags at this point). You will see a green tick will appear next to the tags which have been selected

3. The tag has now successfully been applied to the animal and will appear under the weigh data. If you would like to remove the tag at this point, select on the little "x" next to the tag name.

Scan mobile steps:

1. On the overview page of the scanning screen, click on manage

2. Click on tag animals

3. You can either "Add Tag" or "Remove Tag"


How to filter for a management tag

Mobile steps:

1. On your "My Cattle" page select the filter icon

2. Filter on the tags option and select show animals

Web steps:

1.On the "My Livestock" tap the filter icon and filter on the tag drop down for the tag you need. You can download a list of animals with the relevant tag by clicking on the yellow download arrow.
