Have you come back to Breedr and need a hand bringing your account back up to date? This guide will show you how this can be done:

Marking non synced animals off your account

When logging back into your Breedr account you may find that you have a number of non synced animals. These are animals that are no longer on your holding and synced to BCMS.

How do I remove these animals?

.

  1. On your home page you will have a red banner saying "Your Herdbook needs updating". Click on this banner to view all animals that are no longer on your farm and have been registered off farm with BCMS

  2. Click on the manage button

3. Click on manage

4. Select all animals

5. Once selected click manage

5. Choose the option to "Mark off-farm"

6. Fill the form in with the destination, CPH and other details. This information is not mandatory however if want to use this record for your movement book it's important that this information is entered correctly. If you are just clearing up your records and have other records of the time period which you did not use Breedr you can simply mark the animals off farm without entering details.

Just be sure you make a note of the date you transitioned between systems for inspection purposes.

If you would like to conduct your movements through the Breedr app please see our movements guide for information on this

Note: If you have already opted in for movements when you mark non synced animals off farm these animals will appear on your regulatory dashboard on the web app. Select the animals and click "Abort do not send" this will move them off your Breedr account but will not notify BCMS.

Medicine data

We do not recommend deleting previous medicine data out of your Breedr account. If you used another system, we recommend you keep a note of this time period to keep compliant, but start fresh again with Breedr.

Dispose of a medicine.

Follow step by step instructions on disposing medicines from your cabinet.

*Please note you can only dispose of a medicine via the mobile app*

  1. Click on the medicine you want to dispose of and select the bin icon next to 'amount remaining'.

  2. Fill in the quantity and select the route of disposal and then select 'Log disposal'.

  3. The amount will have been deducted from the amount remaining and the disposal is shown in the activity list.

Uploading medicine data

You can upload medicine data via a CSV file, there are two options you can take:

  1. Administer from the cabinet- To apply this activity the medicine must be added to your medicine cabinet before the upload takes places.

  2. Generic Vet and Med- This allows you to apply medicine activities to animals when the medicine has not been added to your cabinet.

To be able to upload these activities in your spreadsheet you need to include the following headings:

  • Full passport number

  • Activity date of when you administered the medicine

  • Name of the medicine

  • Batch number

  • Dosage

  • Withdrawal

  • Reason for treatment

Uploading weights

You can bulk upload history data such as weight records into Breedr, via the web app, using the import data functionality.

Tips for uploading weight data:

  • File format must be CSV

  • The corresponding animal/s must be added into Breedr first so we can match activity data to them via their passport number.

  • The full passport number is required

  • Each weight entry must be displayed on a separate row.

Please watch the video below on how this can be done:
