Watch the video below on how to log off movements with BCMS/ScotEID

Follow the step by step instructions on logging movements off farm with BCMS/ScotEID

First, you need to go to your farm settings and tick the box 'Send registrations and movements to BCMS'. You will receive T&C's that need to be accepted, and then click 'Save changes'.

You can search for the animal passport number in the search box top left. You can also filter the animals to fit the criteria or select the animals from a group. You are able to mark the animals off farm from both the mobile and web. Once the animals has been selected, select the 'mark off farm' button.

A short form will then appear on screen. The move date it will default to today's date and you will have the option to select a date in the past, to accurately confirm the move date.

Then complete the form fields with the relevant information. By filling in the destination details, this will help keep your movement book up to date however it is not mandatory for marking the animals off farm.

If you are moving to an abattoir, the relevant CPH will also be required - your EC number can be put into the notes field.

* Please note if you are Scottish cattle keeper it is mandatory to log the CPH number of where you are moving the animals too. Once you have entered the name and address once this will store in your address book to be used again when required. If this information is not logged this will cause a failed registration on your regulatory dashboard on the web app *

Once the correct information has been added, press the confirm button to move the animal/animals off of the farm.

Then head to the 'Regulatory' section of the web app. Click on the type of movement you want to approve to send to BCMS/ScotEID.

You are now able to view the animal movements and check that the details are correct.

Once your animals are in the Regulatory page & under the 'Ready to approve' header, you can do the following:

Abort- Aborting a movement means that the movement will not be sent. The movement will still be recorded in the system, it simply won't be transmitted to the regulator and it will disappear from the list.

Reject- Rejecting a movement means the movement will be reversed in the system and it will not be transmitted to the regulator's system.

Approve and send- Approving a movement confirms the movement is correct and transmits it to the regulator's system.

Change date- Move-on and move-off approvals only. Allows you to change the movement date that will be reported for these movements.

Once you have selected 'Approve & Send', the status will show as 'pending'. It will show as pending for a few minutes and if they don't come back as errors they will have sent, CTS will update tomorrow morning with your new movements. If you notice any incorrect information after the push has been sent, please get in contact with BCMS/ScotEID directly.
